πŸ“˜ Study Desk

Class 6 Β· Following the school syllabus

Lessons your students
actually finish.

Every heading in the textbook becomes its own short lesson β€” explained in plain words, read aloud, drawn as a picture, then tested with a quiz your child can retake as many times as they need. When they get stuck at nine at night, a patient AI teacher answers the question they were too shy to ask in class.

No card, and nothing to cancel β€” there is no card on file. Works on a phone, a tablet or the family computer.

For parents

What actually changes at home

Not features. The six things you would notice in the first fortnight.

πŸŒ™

Homework stops being a two-person job

When your child does not understand something at nine at night, they ask Miss Iram instead of asking you β€” and she explains it a fourth time in exactly the same patient voice.

πŸ”

β€œI studied but I forgot it” gets a real answer

Re-reading a chapter feels like studying and barely works. Study Desk uses blank-page recall and review at 1, 3, 7 and 21 days β€” the two methods that actually beat forgetting.

πŸ‘€

You can finally see what they did

Not β€œI did my studies.” A parent page showing which topics, for how many minutes, and which ones are under 75% β€” so you know what to sit down and go over before a test.

😌

Getting it wrong stops being frightening

Every quiz can be retaken as often as they like and only the best score counts. A child who is not afraid of the wrong answer will attempt far more questions.

πŸ—£οΈ

They say it out loud

The Listen step asks your child to explain the topic in their own words and gently corrects what they missed. It is the difference between recognising an answer and knowing it.

⏱️

Screen time you can defend

Twenty focused minutes a subject, tracked and shown to you. No feed, no adverts, nothing to scroll, and no way for anyone to message your child.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for a teacher or a tutor, and it will not do your child's homework for them β€” Miss Iram is built to refuse that and explain instead. It is the thing that fills the gap between the lesson at school and the test on Friday.

About us

Built by a parent, for the child who says β€œI studied, but I forgot it.”

Study Desk started at a kitchen table in Lahore. My son is in Class 6. He would read a chapter three times, close the book, and have almost none of it left by the weekend β€” and the tuition centre could not give him the fifth explanation he needed, because there were eleven other children in the room.

So I built the fifth explanation. Then the sixth. Every feature here exists because that problem needed solving at ten o'clock on a school night, not because it demonstrated well to anyone. It is now 143 lessons across four subjects, and other parents have started asking for it.

Wasim Abbas β€” Lahore. Eighteen years in IT across Singapore, the UK and Pakistan; one Class 6 student at home who tests every lesson before anyone else sees it.

πŸ“‘

One heading, one lesson

Chapters are not summarised. Every topic heading in the book becomes its own short lesson, so nothing quietly goes missing before the test.

πŸ”Š

Read aloud, in plain words

Each lesson is spoken as well as written, with the jargon unpacked. A student who reads slowly is not shut out of the subject.

🧠

Built around forgetting

Blank-page recall, spaced review at 1–3–7–21 days, and quizzes with unlimited retakes β€” the methods that beat re-reading, which is what most students do.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ«

A teacher who never sighs

Miss Iram answers the same question a fourth time in the same voice. Students ask her the things they will not ask in front of a class.

πŸ“ˆ

Parents can see it

A dashboard for the adults: what was studied, for how long, which topics are strong and which are under 75%.

πŸ”

Accounts you control

You create the logins and hand them out. No child signs themselves up, and no email address is collected from a minor.

Courses

Class 6 β€” sold one subject at a time

A centre that only teaches Science should only pay for Science. Access is granted per subject, per student.

πŸ“

Maths

33 lessons

Eleven units, worked examples you copy into your notebook, then a quiz.

πŸ”¬

Science

44 lessons

Every topic in the book is its own lesson. Definitions matter here.

πŸ›οΈ

History

50 lessons

From the first cities to the Mughals, told as stories with dates that stick.

🌍

Geography

16 lessons

Maps, climate and people β€” why places are the way they are.

How a lesson runs

Four steps, about twenty minutes

1️⃣

Watch

A short animated explanation with the idea in one picture.

2️⃣

Learn

The lesson in plain words, read aloud, with the key terms unpacked.

3️⃣

Practise

Say it back out loud, or work the example. Mistakes are corrected gently.

4️⃣

Quiz

Retake it as often as needed. The score that counts is the best one.

Prices are in Pakistani rupees and exclude any applicable tax. A trial does not become a paid account by itself β€” nothing is charged automatically, because there is no card on file.

Questions parents ask

Straight answers

Is this just another app my child will ignore after a week?

Possibly β€” which is why the trial exists and why nothing is charged automatically. Two or three days is enough for you to see whether your child opens it without being told. If they do not, that is your answer and it has cost you nothing.

Does it follow what my child is actually being taught?

Yes. The lessons are written topic by topic against the Class 6 syllabus, in the same order the chapters are taught, so a lesson here matches the chapter your child has open in front of them.

Will it do their homework for them?

No, and that is deliberate. Miss Iram is instructed to explain, give hints, and ask your child to try again β€” never to hand over a finished answer. A child who copies an answer has learned nothing and you have paid for it.

What is β€œMiss Iram”, exactly?

An AI tutor built into the lessons. She always says plainly that she is an AI, never pretends to be a person, and if a child seems upset she tells them to go and talk to their mother or father. She is there for β€œI don't understand this paragraph”, not for anything else.

Is my child's information safe?

We do not ask a child for an email address, a phone number or a photograph. There is no chat with other students, no public profile and no way for a stranger to contact your child. You are given the username and password and you decide who has them.

Do I have to buy all four subjects?

No. Subjects are sold separately. If Maths is the only one causing trouble, buy Maths.

What happens when the trial ends?

It stops. There is no card on file, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing can be charged. If you decide to continue, your child keeps every quiz score and every lesson they have already finished.

Does it replace tuition?

Not for most children. It replaces the part of tuition that is one child needing one explanation repeated β€” which is the part a group class is worst at and the part you end up doing yourself.

Free trial

Two or three days, the whole thing unlocked

Tell us who the student is and which subject to open. We create the login by hand and send it to you β€” usually the same day. There is no card, no automatic renewal and no account for the child to create.

  1. You ask for a trial.
  2. We create the account and send a username and password.
  3. The student logs in and works. You watch the progress dashboard.
  4. If it helps, we convert the same account to paid β€” the work already done is kept.

Usually the same day. Message any time β€” I will not phone you unless you ask me to.
